English 5 Lesson 170 Writing Assignment.

Hey guys! Welcome to my English essay! I’m a little behind, so I’m not finished with my year. Plus, I’m being slowed down by my cast. I had surgery on my wrist for the third time in four years. I’ll tell the story and add a picture of my cast at the end of this post.

Anyway, my essay is about what I would do to make the world a better place.

  1. I would create more animal sanctuaries and wildlife parks for the magnificent animals of this world.
  2. I would employ more wildlife officers to patrol areas where wildlife was endangered.
  3. I would make someone from PPC the prime minister of Canada
  4. I would place more bans on tree-cutting in the wild to stop deforestation and place cameras so that anyone who did it illegally would be caught and I would have their license plate. ( The cameras would be hidden)

That’s the end of my essay! Now here’s how I broke my wrist.

In the summertime, I was at a soccer practice. The teams of different ages were there because there weren’t many of us due to the hot day. Our coach made us a game; He would give two of us the same number and then yell it out. The two people would run for the ball and try to score a goal in the net. I got the number one and waited my turn. The coach yelled one straight away and I charged forward. Sure enough, my older brother Jake had gotten the number one as well. He was four years older than me so he got to the ball first and kicked it up into the air. He then proceeded to jump and headbutt the ball. But I was too close behind. He kicked back with his legs to give himself more momentum and accidentally tripped me in the process. I fell, breaking my right wrist’s growth plate as my back landed on it. My coach tried to get me to move my wrist, but luckily my mom was an X-ray tech and could tell it was broken. I was rushed to the hospital and examined. They put me in a cast shortly after and as a result, I spent six weeks without being able to do regular summer activities, such as soccer and swimming. I had wasted my summer. Fast forward to a year later, my wrist had started to grow crooked. We went to our family doctor, who said it was fine. But a week later I started to have pains in my wrist which led us to believe that it was not fine. We visited a different doctor, who told us we had to go to CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) to receive a CT scan, an MRI, and worst of all, surgery. After the surgery I spent another six weeks in a cast, yet again wasting my summer. A couple of years later, We had to get another follow-up surgery. Luckily, I only have to spend two weeks in this cast so I will be able to get back to regular summer activities soon.

Well, that’s all folks! Hope y’all enjoyed!

Think you know what you have to know?

Well, you can think again. Unless, of course, you’ve already downloaded courses from Ron Paul Curriculum.

The pros of downloading RPC are plentiful:

  1. It’s 98% self-taught above grade three! Meaning, while the kids are working away at schoolwork, parents can sit back and relax! Or, they can go to work without worrying about what they must teach their kids when they return!
  2. Many forums allow you’re child to ask others for help. If they are stuck on a problem, they can simply click on the course forum to receive advice from the other kids!
  3. Many physical projects are involved in specific courses, and others require your child to write in-depth essays about various subjects, to hone their skills.

There are also several cons to NOT downloading RPC.

  1. If you send your child to public school, they might experience bullying. Ron Paul Curriculum is a safe space for your child to learn.
  2. If you start your child on a book-based curriculum, you will be needed much more often than with RPC. If the child is stuck on a problem, there is no community to help them out without requiring anything of you.
  3. With Ron Paul, the child has a choice of finishing their lessons early to have extra time to enjoy. However, in public schools, they must be present in a classroom seven hours a day and five days a week.

That’s all folks!

Hope y’all enjoyed!

English Grade 5 Lesson 10 Writing Assingment.

Hey guys! Today I will write about my favorite place to go during summer vacation.

My favorite spot to go to that I’ve already been to would probably be Manitoulin Island. The views there are unique, there is a lot of hikes you can take, and a few bed and breakfasts where you could sleep if you wanted to.

But if I had to choose a place I’ve never been too before, I would definitely choose a summer horse camp! A place with at least an arena, cabins to stay in, riding games and/or challenges, other people my age, and the best of all, horses! I wouldn’t care if I had to ride a twenty-eight-year-old gelding who could only walk and trot and ride him with a broken saddle, cause I could ride him bareback and walk only and I’d still be super happy!

But I’d be happy at either place. Comment down below which place you would rather go to!

Well folks, I hope y’all enjoyed!

Update!

Hey guys! Since I haven’t been on in while due to march break, I’m going to give you guys a quick update and maybe even a summary of my activities on march break!

So, for march break, I went to a horse camp. the horse camp was at The Bureaus Barn. At horse camp, we learned how to clean saddles, groom for shows, and how to do a half halt.

A half halt is when you pull on your outside rein ever so slightly, which signals to horse to slow down.

We also put halters on our human friends, attached a long cord to the halter which is called a lunge line, and then we made circles around the person in the center holding the lunge line. (This is called lunging.)

We also groomed each other, (with brushes) and picked out our boots with hoof picks. Our week-long camp was very fun and we shared lots of laughs with the other girls.

My brother, Jake, has baby goats starting to get born, and we already have four. Their names are, Elvis (Black and white), Blizzard (Completely white), Rose(completely white), and finally, Orchid. (White with tiny brown dot on his back). I still have soooo many chickens, that I don’t even remember how many I have!

My sister still has her 29 inch tall black miniature pony stallion, who, by the way, is 24 years old. Me and Olivia (my sister) have had our two fish, Coral Reef Lewington and Merlin Spell Lewington, and we have had them for nearly three years. They are Betta fish.

I still have my now 8 month old calico kitten Fauna, and Livy (Olivia) still has Binou, her fluffy 8 month old white and black kitten. Livy also still has her seven year old orange tabby cat, and she also has her other tabby, Simba, and Jake has their mom, Speels. (Playful in dutch).

We still have lots of cows, and now we have pigs! We should be expecting piglets from our sows soon, and our pork pigs are, lots of them, ready to be “harvested”.

So there’s the scoop on all the animals that are now living on our farm!

*2 days later*

So, we have 3 new baby goats! We don’t have names for them yet, but were working on it. They are all single children. We don’t know all of their genders yet, but one of them is a boy.

Our kittens just got their vaccine shots, and we will be returning for a booster in a month. Fauna wasn’t feeling the best, but she getting better now. Binou was just angry, hyper, sad and a bunch of other emotions, such as confusion.

Yes, it took me that long to get back to this post. Well, I hope yall enjoyed!

Science Grade 6(!!!) Lesson 8.

Hey guys! Today I will be writing a 100 + word essay about a type of rock that I select. You would think I would choose diamonds or gold. Not the two most popular ones! I am going to write about amethyst. Amethysts are my birthstone, as I was born in February. They can be pink, blue, or purple.

Amethyst can be found in geodes. These geodes are clusters of gems/crystals/minerals.
The largest amethyst concentrations are found inĀ volcanic rocks. Amethysts are a beautiful mineral that the world can’t help but admire. They can sometimes show as a healing sign, and some ancient tribes used to use it to heal themselves.

Amethysts can also be found near small pockets of water. They have fairly well-built atoms, but certainly not as strong as diamonds. I think amethysts are beautiful, and that they are very nice colors.

Well folks, I hope y’all enjoyed!

History Lesson 150- Review and Essay.

Hey guys! Today I will be talking about my favorite inventor/invention that I learned about!

So… It’s an invention this week! It’s the threshing machine!

For starters, the threshing machine is just a VERY early design of a combine.

It was invented in 1788, in England, by Andrew Meikle. His dad worked at a local mill and fixed and invented machines that were useful to save labour. But, none of his inventions could save as much labour as Andrew’s did.

< And yes, I am writing this on a SATURDAY, lol.😐>

So, you need to scoop up some grains, put them in the machine, and a big wooden drum will beat the grains out of the wheat, and separate the chaff from the grains and it will come out from a funnel into whatever bucket or container you have waiting for it.

Well folks, I hope y’all enjoyed!

History Review and Writing assignment Lesson 145

Hey guys! Today I will be writing about my favorite inventor/invention.

Reveal: Joseph Priestley!

Joseph Priestley is the one who invented soda water. He was born in 1733 and died in 1804. He lived in yorkshire, england. Joseph Priestley proved to be a very smart kid from an early age. He learned math, logic, physics and natural philosophy. Priestley also learntĀ more than six different languagesĀ including Latin, Hebrew and Greek.

He died at the age of 70 due to an extreme illness. He was so sick, that he couldn’t do anything. At all. And that included anything scientific that he loved to do. He could have been poisoned, or he could have just caught a cold and due to his age, it only grew worse. Or maybe he was exposed to something dangerous, but we don’t know. All we can do is make up theories.

He was educated at Daventry academy, an academy that many people believe to have been very prestigious and top-notch. He later went on to an even more prestigious (Theoretically prestigious) school, called Batley Grammar School.

Joseph was, by the time he died, already in all the science clubs of the east and had highly maintained reputation at them. It is said that he did not do things halfway.

His invention of soda water increased our knowledge of chemicals, reactions, oxygen, and just science in general. At the same time, ( or like two centuries before ) he got on the good books of wealthy people who wanted such luxuries.

He had three siblings, named Timothy, Joshua, and Martha. Martha went on to marry a man with the last name of Crouch and his first name is unknown.

I’m glad I had enough background on him to make a 300+ word essay. I really liked writing about him and I kinda wish there were more like him that we had so much background information on. ( This essay ended up like 334 words long.

Well folks, I hope y’all enjoyed!

History 04 Lesson 140 Review

Hey guys! Today I will be writing about my favorite thing or person I learned about. So today my favorite thing I learned about wasn’t actually a thing it was (or he is) a person.

Ok, so the person I will be writing about is James Watt. He was born into a wealthy family and started off with a very highly maintained reputation.

He was born on January 30th, 1736 and died the 25th of august 1819, in Scotland.

He invented an advanced steam engine that was much more reliable and long-lasting than the others.

He invented this steam engine in hopes that someday someone would find his plans and build a modern version of it.

He had a wife named Rosalina Dechert who, after having a child and one year later, died. Later on, James married a woman named Cathrina Renaux. After his first wife died, he became an entrepreneur.

That is when he started to develop his steam engine.
