This time Mr.John Livingston has gave us a topic that you have to say how you use simple machines in your life so now I will get started. One simple machine we use often is screws because as you may know we live on a farm and we use those a lot for animal shelters and other projects like that including my sisters new bed. While my sisters bed is being built she put her mattress on the floor in my room for now since we already sold her old bed. Now let’s talk about another simple machine because I could talk about that all day. The next simple machine is the pulley. Olivia made a bunch of pulleys the one day because we have hooks in our living room so she decided to put the string on the hook and then took the other side of the string and pulled it down so the pulley went up and when she let it go more up,it went down. Last but not least a pencil. Wait what!? Pencils!? Ya pencils because we use those almost every day for drawing and writing ✍️.
Hi! In this post today I will be talking about puppies and kittens. Lets start with puppies!:) Ok so from a husky to a yellow lab, puppies are all so adorable!!!
This is a super cute picture of a yellow lab puppy and the yellow lab “(short for labrador) Retriever has proven himself as hard working and intelligent as his black cousins and is well-known in his role as a guide dog for the blind. However, many people describe chocolate labs as stubborn and unwilling during training sessions.”
This is not a husky but it is a border collie and border collies are my mom’s favorite breed of dog. Here is a piece of information about border collies. Like all dogs, border collies bark as a form of communication. Unlike many other breeds, however, border collies have a whole lot to say. They will bark when they are bored, stressed, fearful, excited, curious, lonely and playful. Border collies are highly intelligent and highly trainable and are superstars at canine activities such as herding, obedience, and agility. Due to their tendency to herd animals and people, they do best with older, well-behaved children. They love their families but may be somewhat reserved with strangers. Source from:

Now this is a husky and here is some infomation about the husky. Siberian Huskies are probably best-known for their incredible sled-pulling skills, but these doggies aren’t all business! They indeed make excellent working dogs—they were originally bred to help the Chukchi people of Siberia hunt more efficiently—but they’re seriously sweet, friendly, and loyal cuddle bugs, too. Now that’s all for puppies so now lets move on to kittens.
This little munchkin is actually called a munchkin cat and did you know that munchkin cats have really short legs?
Here is some more information below.
Munchkinn cats are small because of a gene mutation that has made their legs shorter than normal. Their bodies are medium in size but their shoulder height is very low to the ground which makes them one of our smallest breeds. Source from:
I would choose this black Angus because they are very good meat breeds and right now,we need stokers (meat cows) for meat. Another reason why I would suggest these cows is because the black Angus has the second best meat for cows and its a little bit because they look really nice.
This is a nice looking mature bull looks pretty fat and that is good but we are not looking for a bull we are looking for meat cows so back to meat cows.
Now this is what we’re looking for because these ones look pretty nice and fat so they probably have lots of nice rich and delicious meat. By the way,we are not looking for skinny cows because they have less meat then the fat ones.THE END.
This week we learned about gears, water wheels, cranks and connecting rods. First I will tell you about gears. Gears are used to make inventions work and you can put the gears on different angles. Now for water wheels. Water wheels can be two different styles the water wheels that shoot water from underneath are called an undershot wheel and the one that the water makes the water go on the top of the water wheel is called an overshot wheel. Cranks and connecting rods have been in use since 200 BC in China 🇨🇳 And also in Greece 🇬🇷 but neither culture discovered that it could be used in reverse. And eventually in the future they discovered that.THE END.
This morning my dad gave all three of us which is me my older sister and my older brother an assignment about pineapples and whether they produce flowers or not here is what I think based on the research I done.
So from my research about pineapples they actually are flowers and then they transform in to pineapples and here you can see that the flower has already bloomed and will soon become a pineapple that they can eat and by the way, I loooooooooooooooooooove pineapples because they are so so so so yummy. Did you know that pineapples actually help with cancer and the reason my dad gave us this assignment is because my older brother Jake Lewington was joking around about fitting our pineapple that’s back at our house in his pocket because the tag on the pineapple said visa like visa credit cards and he wanted to fit it in his pocket and my dad Dave Lewington said to put the green part of the pineapple and my brother said something like: you mean the flower part of the pineapple? then we all said: there is a flower on the pineapple? That’s when my dad said: I smell a homeschooling project. So that’s how we ended up getting this writing assignment.
This is another science review and just so you know, it’s not all about the same animal but the first thing I learned about was care tips for your pet snake ask the previous owner the following questions:
What kind of environment they put the snake in,what did they feed the snake and last but not least what kind of temperature does the snake need?
The second thing I learned about is alligators and they have a bite force of 2000 pounds per square inch.
The third thing I learned about was also alligators and about how two of the top predators in that area which was the python and the alligator rarely battle. The fourth thing I learned about was crocs. Females are very protective of their baby crocodiles. And finally the fifth thing I learned about was also crocodiles but this lesson I learned that they are the apex predator in some areas.
How do new building tools impact architecture (building size and shape)? Back in the 1630s they probably didn’t have cranes so they couldn’t build higher buildings but now thanks to cranes we can build super high sky scrapers and we don’t even have to fly a plane ✈️.The crane was invented in Greece and then the Romans started copying the Greeks invention and after that the invention spread all over the world and as it spread not only did it spread but it also evolved over the years and look at the cranes now in 2020 they are way taller then they used to be. And I just want you guys to know that the crane was just an example and that means that not only the cranes evolved over the years because there is probably a countless amount of inventions that also evolved over the years just like cranes.THE END.
Today is monday April 6 and yesterday, Sunday April 5, we had a majestic night although it was very busy we had a whole lot of fun. We first woke up at 6:30 to let out our chickens 🐓 that are now on pasture in a part of a sunflower 🌻 field. Then, we did mostly normal stuff like lunch and all that, and then we went to another field and went for an adventure and after that we started digging holes to try and find worms and we found quite a few. We also went to see our friends hunting stand at the same place and on our way back we found a bit of clay and started playing with it. Last but not least we drove home and we started bouncing up in the air and had lots of fun on the trampoline. THE END.
This is the yellow eyelash pit viper that you see and that is the first thing I learned about and the second thing I learned about is giant snakes like boas and pythons (there different kinds of snakes).
The one in black and yellow is the boa constrictor and the other one is a rock python. The third thing I learned about is the king cobra, the largest venom snake in the world.
This is the king cobra. The fourth thing I learned about is how snakes slither and bite.
This is a snake that is slithering around. The fifth thing I learned about is how to handle a venomous snake bite.
#1 For example if your bite is in the hand you have to put it under your heart to slow down the spread of the poison.#2 Try to avoid touching it as much as possible because it’s only gonna make it worse.#3 Immediately call 911 and let them take it from there.
Today’s lesson question is:what are some ways that new military inventions shape the outcome of a war, and why? For ex:in the past India used to use crossbows as well as catapults but the USA in the other hand has shotguns and also pistols and other guns like that. But both countries can shoot from a long distance but the USA has the more powerful weapons so they will definitely win.So the USA have the advantage because they have weapons that shaped up the outcome of war. THE END.😉
